ATV tours in Žabljak
“Quad tour” and “ATV tour” usually describe the same guided four-wheel riding experience in Montenegro. From Žabljak, the most convenient Silver Firs route visits the open landscapes around Riblje and Vražje Lakes on a 1.5-hour guided circuit.
The Žabljak tour is a practical choice for first-time riders, families with eligible passengers and travellers combining Black Lake or Tara Canyon in the same stay. Drivers need a category B licence; helmets, fuel, instructions and an English-speaking guide are included. The guide confirms the final route according to weather, trail access and local environmental restrictions.
For a longer mountain ride, Bendovac, Bjelasica and Zabojsko Lake tours operate in other parts of northern Montenegro and require different meeting points or transfers. Compare all four routes below, or read our guide to the best things to do in Žabljak before planning your stay.

Plan your quad adventure
Compare the meeting point and inclusions as carefully as the route. Requirements vary between operating partners.
On these Silver Firs routes, both names refer to the guided four-wheel vehicle experience. “Quad tour” is a common name for the ride, while ATV stands for all-terrain vehicle. Compare the route, driving rules and inclusions rather than relying on the name alone.
The Durmitor lakes circuit costs €120 per quad for 1.5 hours. Zabojsko Lake costs €125 for 2–3 hours of riding, Bendovac €175 for two hours, and Bjelasica €250 for 4.5–5 hours. Prices are per vehicle. National park tickets are excluded from the Bendovac and Bjelasica prices; final inclusions and passenger arrangements are confirmed before booking.
The 1.5-hour Durmitor lakes circuit meets in Žabljak and visits the landscapes around Riblje and Vražje Lakes. Access restrictions or weather may require paved sections or an alternative route towards Momčilov Grad. The guide confirms the route for the day.
The longer Bjelasica route can start from Kolašin or Mojkovac. The two-hour Bendovac route starts beside Biogradsko Lake. These are different meeting points from Žabljak, so confirm any transfer and its cost when enquiring.
Drivers on the Žabljak lakes circuit must be at least 18 and hold a category B driving licence. Basic driving instructions, a helmet and an English-speaking guide are included. First-time riders should disclose their experience before booking; the operator confirms suitability. Ask for the specific driving and passenger rules for the other routes.
Confirm the meeting point, number of vehicles and passengers, driving-licence rules, helmet provision, park tickets, insurance and transfer costs. The Žabljak lakes circuit excludes food, drinks and insurance. Routes depend on weather, trail access and local restrictions, and operation is confirmed for your date.
