Montenegro boat tour FAQs.
Which Montenegro boat tour should I choose?
Choose Boka Bay for the Blue Cave, Perast, island landmarks and a private speedboat trip on the Adriatic coast. Choose Skadar Lake for freshwater scenery, reed channels, seasonal water lilies and birdlife. Silver Firs arranges private Boka Bay tours and private or shared Skadar Lake cruises.
How much do boat tours in Montenegro cost?
Silver Firs offers private Boka Bay tours from €160 per boat for up to six guests. Private Skadar Lake tours cost €60 for one hour or €100 for two hours. Shared Skadar Lake tours cost €20 or €25 per person. Skadar Lake National Park tickets cost an additional €4 per person.
Where do the boat tours depart?
Skadar Lake tours depart from Virpazar. For Boka Bay, share your accommodation and preferred departure area when enquiring; Silver Firs confirms the precise boarding point and departure time in writing. A stay in Kotor, Tivat or Budva does not automatically include a transfer or determine the boat departure point.
Can I visit the Blue Cave and Skadar Lake on the same boat tour?
No. The Blue Cave is on the Adriatic coast and Skadar Lake is an inland lake. They are separate boat excursions with a road journey between departure areas. Plan them as separate activities; they can both feature in a longer Montenegro itinerary.
Are these private or shared boat tours?
The Boka Bay options reserve the boat for your group, with a maximum of six guests per boat. Skadar Lake has private boats and scheduled shared departures; the advertised shared tours have a maximum of 15 guests. Availability is confirmed before booking.
Is swimming or a particular route guaranteed?
No. Blue Cave swimming stops depend on sea conditions. Coastal routes and lake departures may change with weather, wind, water levels and operational requirements. Bird sightings and water lilies are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed.
